On-Campus CONFIDENTIAL SAFE PLACES

to REPORT sexual MISCONDUCT
Some employees are required to maintain near complete confidentiality; talking to them is sometimes called a “privileged communication.” Counseling Services employees located in the Wellness Center, licensed physicians and nurses in the Wellness Center, the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Center, and Osprey Advocates who are certified victim advocates have the ability to maintain a complainant’s confidentiality. The assistance provided by these places are described below.
The Wellness Center
Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Center (WGSC)

J-204 | 609-626-3611

The WGSC provides advocacy and outreach to students, which includes addressing issues of sexual assault, sexual violence, and gender and sexual identities. Recruits and supervises the Osprey Advocates who are specially trained volunteers who provide support to individuals of sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence through forensic examination process, medical systems, administrative and/or police investigations, campus hearing board and legal proceedings.
The WGSC also refers complainant to The Atlantic County Women’s Center and Campus Police, helps the complainant identify options for obtaining help including medical care and the SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) and how to contact them. Identifies advocate of the complainant’s choosing to assist complainant throughout the process. Provides information about evidence collection and review reporting options. Identify follow up counseling. Provides assistance in locating temporary housing. Submits an anonymous Sexual Misconduct Report to the Office of the Dean of Students. Counselors also identify a certified rape advocate of the complainant’s choosing to assist the complainant throughout the process.
